TRAIL builds new single track!
TRAIL partners w/ USFS for trail maintenance on Freund Canyon Trail. TRAIL provided over 150 volunteer hours in the month of May. TRAIL is working hard to develop positive relationships with land managers in our area. TRAIL has received a resolution of support from the Leavenworth City Council, TRAIL is a member of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce and has joined w/ other outdoor associations in a colloborative effort to ensure the success of recreation in the Leavenworth area.

Participant numbers taken from a report on recreational users' activities in Washington completed by the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Research (the IAC allocates and regulates state and federal funding for trail building/maintenance projects) show that when comparing trail mileage offered in the Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee Ranger Districts there are: many more people riding bikes on allowable trails than any other comparable user group. In fact, for each individual Equestrian there are 4 Hikers and more than 9 Bikers on each equal length of trail designated to each respective group. CLICK HERE FOR GRAPHIC
Alpen Park Proposal
Ski Hill Community Meeting, April 2007:
TRAIL Washington ideas are positively received by community and USFS managers. Our 2 staged Alpen Park Proposal fits within the current NEPA work being completed for this area. *Important* Mountain Bikers must stay involved in all stages of this multi-use endeavor to ensure specific progession-of-skills mountain bike trails will be included.
